In a video posted on Instagram, the influencer — who’s the mother of the toddler affectionately known as “Okay Baby” online — shared an update with her followers in the wake of her baby’s death, five days after he died in a car accident on April 24.

“I wanted to try to come on here and give y’all an update, because I have been hearing about all the love and the support that y’all have been giving,” Katelynn began in the clip shared on Tuesday, April 29.

“It means so much to us in a time like this,” she added in the clip, which was also posted on TikTok.

Katelynn went on to share that she was discharged from the hospital yesterday, but her husband Jaelen Ordone — the father of Preston and their daughter Paisley Anne — is still in the hospital, so they’re staying at an Airbnb nearby to make visits.

“None of us could really understand why or how this could happen. But y’all support has made a big difference in a lot of this,” Katelynn emotionally said in the video.

“I may not be able to watch everything, I may not be able to reply to every comment, because it’s really hard for me to look at it,” she continued. “I’m still seeing some things and hearing how much y’all love him, and it means a lot.”

Katelynn admitted that it was hard to express her thoughts at the moment, but wanted to show her appreciation for everyone who reached out with messages sending support.

“It’s very hard for me to gather my thoughts right now but I really wanted everyone to know I truly appreciate the support during this incredibly difficult time. #okaybaby #preston,” she captioned the video.

Katelynn’s latest video comes shortly after two of her family members confirmed Preston’s death on social media. In the video shared on April 27, they noted that the Ordone family’s older daughter Paisley was not in the car at the time of the crash.

“Their truck veered to the right off the interstate and struck a tree and unfortunately Preston didn’t make it,” a woman identified as Brielle said.

She also shared an update on Katelynn and Jaelan’s injuries from the car accident, and noted that they are “severely injured.”

“Katelynn has multiple broken bones. She had a very bad concussion,” Brielle said in the clip. “She walked for the first time today. Jaelen had to have emergency surgery on one of his legs. He has rods, pins in them. They’re both at different hospitals.”

On April 24, Louisiana State Police shared in a press release that the vehicle Preston was traveling in, a 2011 Ford F-150, “veered off the roadway to the right and struck a tree,” noting that the cause is “still under investigation.”

PEOPLE has reached out to the Louisiana State Police for comment on the family’s claims and updates on the situation.
