A set of 22-year-old triplets will graduate from the same New Jersey university β and they’re getting the same degree!
Caroline, Daniel and Michael Gruseke are all pursuing a major in communications from Monmouth University and will graduate on Thursday, May 15,Β Asbury Park PressΒ reported.
“We were able to do homework together and it was like our own little study group,β Caroline told the outlet.
The siblings, who are from Wilton, Conn., grew up playing together and supporting each other β but when it came time for college, they initially planned to go their separate ways. Or at least, Caroline did.
However, although she initially enrolled at Elon University, by sophomore year she ended up transferring to Monmouth.
Β “In my head, I guess I had a little bit of FOMO, like fear of missing out, because I wasn’t used to like seeing them doing stuff together without me,” she said.
For the record, her brothers didn’t mindΒ β in fact, Michael said he “honestly encouraged it.”
Monmouth University, located in West Long Branch, is a private institution with about 5,000 students. The school did not respond to PEOPLEβs request for comment.
As for their bond, the triplets β who all plan to look for jobs in New York City together β say their bond is beyond special.
“I always felt different, but it was always a good time,” said Daniel. “No one could relate.”
