Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome Secretly Welcome Baby No. 2 — Meet Their Daughter Goldie!

Surprise! Harry Potter star Rupert Grint and longtime love Georgia Groome just revealed they secretly welcomed their second child, a baby girl named Goldie. In a rare Instagram post, Grint gushed over his newborn, calling her a “10/10 baby (so far)” and melted fans’ hearts with a sweet first photo. After years of keeping family life private, the magical news has fans everywhere celebrating the growing Grint-Groome clan!

Rupert Grint is a father of two!

The Harry Potter alum, 36, and his longtime love Georgia Groome, 33, have welcomed their second baby, a girl named Goldie.

Grint announced the happy news on his Instagram on Sunday, April 27. The post featured a photo of the newborn wearing a white onesie with her name embroidered on it, along with a tiny gray cardigan sweater.

” ‘Secret Child Slightly Revealed,’ ” Grint teased in the caption, hinting at headlines. “Introducing Goldie G. Grint. ⭐️ A 10/10 baby (so far).”

The actor also seemingly thanked the doctor who helped bring Goldie into the world, writing: “Shout out to @alex.digesu for always delivering 🫡.”

Grint and Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging actress Groome — who have been together since 2011 — are also parents to daughter Wednesday, born in May 2020.

“Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome are delighted to confirm the birth of their baby girl,” a rep for the couple told PEOPLE in a statement after Wednesday’s birth. “We would please ask that you respect their privacy at this very special time.”

Although he keeps much of his family life private, Grint has been candid about his love for fatherhood.

While speaking with Glamour in 2022, he said that he’s “absolutely loving” being a father, while admitting that he’s “still kind of coming to terms with what being a dad is.”

“It’s so much fun. I feel like I’ve changed as a person for sure,” he said at the time. “It kind of happened overnight, lifestyle-wise. I stopped smoking straight away. I’ve started sleeping so much better — I used to be a horrific insomniac, now I’m sleeping.”

 

The Knock at the Cabin actor has also shared a number of photos of his older daughter on social media, including snapshots of when he has brought her to work with him.

In 2022, he posted a photo of Wednesday spending time with her dad on the set of the horror series Servant — and also spoke about her visit to Entertainment Tonight in 2021.

“It’s a weird place to be, especially when Wednesday first came. I remember I brought her to the set this season and she thought she was at Sesame Street, which was very far away from Sesame Street,” he quipped.

Grint then got candid about fatherhood, sharing that Wednesday quickly became the most important thing in his life.

“It’s great. I’m absolutely loving being a dad. It’s just the best thing,” the star told ET. “It’s amazing how it completely takes over everything. It’s all I really care about, so it’s been great.”
